Sometimes is good to revisit the basics and refresh yourself on things you may not have learnt when you were a beginner or things you’ve just forgotten over time.

There are some great tips from Steve Cullen in this Total Flyfisher video about cleaning your fly line with baby wipes and even car dashboard cleaner to put a shinny film on it! All this improves the line travelling through the rod rings and makes sure you have that brand new line feel every time you go our fly fishing. Its something I’m definitely going to try so that my new Barrio line stays in top condition.

There are also some great casting tips. I’m terrible for picking up bad habits so a little watch of this video once in a while will hopefully get those good habits back into my routine.
