While I’ve been waiting for the season to kick off properly and get this cold spell out of the way and insects hatching again I’ve become a little bit obsessed with watching old fly fishing videos on YouTube. They may look a bit dated now but they are full of really useful information, lots of old style flies to tie and some great fishing techniques that sometimes get forgotten these days. Sometimes going back to the basics can really help.
So here’s the first in possibly a long series of videosI’ve found on YouTube starting with the rather mellow ‘Still Water Fishing with Cris Ogborne’ from the early 90’s I think.
And here’s another one – ‘Angling classics The Game Fly’. Not sure when this one os from but looks like the 80’s. Some nice tips of river fishing which I might get the chance to try on the Stour soon.
